What should we wear?
Wear clothes that you feel comfortable and confident in. Matching is unnecessary, a good rule of thumb is if the colors would make a nice quilt then they will look nice together in portraits. Avoid busy patterns or large logos. Remember that you'll likely be sitting on the ground for a portion of your session.
How long is a session?
Sessions typically run about an hour. Sessions with adults typically go a bit faster than sessions with children, simply because when working with children we run on their time.
What if the weather is bad?
Living in East Tennessee, we all know that the weather can change in a minute. In the event of inclement weather, session will be rescheduled to the first date that works for both of us.
How do we receive our images?
After your session I begin professionally retouching your images. When this is complete you images are uploaded to a private online gallery. This gallery includes your print release, and a PIN so you can download your digital files. Anyone you share the link with is able to view your images, and can order prints or products that will ship directly to them.
Can we order prints or products? Is an order required?
Yes, we work with a professional print lab to provide archival quality prints and products. All prints and products come with a warranty against fading or discoloration. We offer a wide variety of prints sizes, as well as canvases, greeting cards, and photo gifts.
No order is required, and we are happy to suggest local labs for you to print at your leisure. We love F/32 Photo on Kingston Pike, and highly suggest them for your printing needs.
Where do sessions take place?
I have a favorite spot, that is a hidden gem in Knoxville. Almost all of the images in my portfolio were taken there. If you have a specific location in mind let me know and I'm happy to try to accommodate that.
How do we book? How early should we book?
Contact me for a list of currently available dates. Session fee is due at booking to reserve your date.
June and October fill up very early. I suggest booking in June/July for a premium fall date. I typically book about 4-6 weeks out year round, but may be able to work in a last minute request. The deadline for Christmas images is November 15.
